Windflower, Goa
A modern celebration that brought together North and South Indian traditions, with three distinct events designed around the couple’s personalities and vision.
Sai and Aarushi are a couple who are as driven individually as they are together.
Sai, an AI investor based in the US, and Aarushi, an angel investor turned startup founder based in Bengaluru, brought two very different journeys and two strong personalities together.
With Aarushi’s North Indian roots and Sai’s South Indian heritage, their wedding became a beautiful coming together of two cultures—and a celebration that felt every bit as dynamic as the couple themselves.
A true power duo, in every sense.
Sai and Aarushi wanted each celebration to have its own personality.
The festivities began with a modern Haldi and pool party, followed by a traditional South Indian wedding by the beach in the early morning.
The celebrations then transitioned into an evening reception and Sangeet, bringing everyone together once again for a completely different experience.
~Three events.
~Three distinct moods.
~One celebration.
What made this wedding particularly special was the balance between modernity and tradition.
The Haldi embraced a more relaxed, contemporary pool-party atmosphere.
The morning wedding brought the couple’s South Indian traditions to the shores of Goa, creating a beautiful contrast against the beach setting.
And by evening, the celebrations shifted once again into a lively reception and Sangeet.
Rather than trying to make every event look or feel the same, each celebration was allowed to have its own identity.
For Sai and Aarushi, our role focused on bringing the creative and operational pieces together:
Working to create distinct visual experiences across the different celebrations.
Coordinating the creative and production partners involved in bringing each event together.
Working closely with the property to ensure the different events flowed smoothly across the celebrations.
Sometimes, you don’t have to wait until the wedding is over to know you’ve got it right. During the setup, Sai and Aarushi walked up to us before the décor was even complete and complimented us on how beautiful everything was already looking. That meant a lot.
But what happened afterwards meant even more. After the wedding, they called us to tell us how happy they were with everything—and specifically asked us not to leave without meeting them. For us, that was gold. Because after months of planning, coordination and execution, knowing that the couple genuinely wanted to find us before they left said everything.
Sai and Aarushi’s wedding wasn’t about choosing between modern and traditional. It was about making space for both.
A relaxed poolside Haldi. A traditional South Indian ceremony by the sea. A lively evening of celebration. Three different experiences, brought together by two people who knew what they wanted and trusted their team to bring it to life.
